Our crisis outreach professionals are trained to recognize a broad range of behavioral health concerns, including both mental health and substance use crises. It may also include a face to face assessment to determine if there is need for hospitalization to expedite treatment, and ensure safety. This may include identification of resources, mobilization of primary support systems (friends, family, other professionals), and providing access to outpatient services. Response’s services also include online crisis counseling, community education and training programs, support line and follow up services and a comprehensive information and referral database connecting callers with the most appropriate community resources. Our crisis team will first gather information from the caller to assess the situation and determine the next steps. Our crisis outreach professionals are skilled and highly-trained in working with individuals in almost any setting in order to reduce distress, and develop a plan to safely resolve the crisis at hand. Comprehensive Healthcare provides a free crisis phone service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days of the year to address mental health or substance use crises.
